EINDRAPPORTAGE RESONANSGROEP WISKUNDE

De resonansgroep wiskunde heeft op 4 februari haar commentaar op de conceptexamenprogramma's 2011 van cTWO (de commissie Siersma) aangeboden aan staatssecretaris Marja van Bijsterveldt. De resonansgroep gaat in grote lijnen akkoord met de voorstellen voor havo A, havo B en vwo B, maar ze heeft ernstige bezwaren tegen de voorstellen voor vwo A en vwo C. Zij stelt dat de voorstellen voor vwo A de aansluitingsproblematiek tussen vwo en universitaire studierichtingen als economie en bedrijfskunde (samen goed voor zo'n vierduizend eerstejaarsstudenten per jaar) en biowetenschappen niet verlicht. HET NIEUWE WISKUNDEPROGRAMMA

In de vorige mededeling in de wiskundeEbrief is het schooljaar 2011/2012 genoemd als het invoeringsjaar voor het nieuwe wiskundeprogramma. Inmiddels is duidelijk geworden dat 2013/2014 het meest waarschijnlijke jaar van invoering zal zijn.
De cTWO examenpilots starten in 2008/2009 in klas 4 en lopen door tot 2009/2010 voor havo en 2010/2011 voor vwo. De ervaringen van deze pilots zullen worden meegenomen in de vaststelling van het definitieve programma in 2011. Daarna volgt nascholing en krijgen auteurs de gelegenheid tot het ontwikkelen van de methodes bij het nieuwe programma. De examenpilots wiskunde worden uitgezet in 10 scholen: 2 voor havo A; 2 voor havo B en D; 1 voor havo A, B en D; 2 voor vwo A en C, 2 voor vwo B en D, 1 voor vwo A,B,C en D. De pilots worden begeleid en ondersteund door het cTWO – team. Vergoeding van de pilots vindt plaats binnen het Universum Project. In dit voorjaar worden scholen geworven en worden afspraken gemaakt. Mocht u interesse hebben, dan kunt u zich tot 15 februari aanmelden bij het cTWO – team. Het is de bedoeling dat uiterlijk per 1 april een definitieve beslissing genomen wordt over deelname aan de pilots.

ICME 11 Plenary 2: Give Teachers a Voice in Shaping the Research Agenda
Thank you to those who have already completed the online survey – we have a very pleasing mix of nationalities responding. BUT, we need many more responses if teachers are truly to contribute to shaping the research agenda in mathematics education. If you are able to alert mathematics teachers to the opportunity to take part in this survey, please do so as a matter of urgency. The online survey can only remain open until the end of February.
The procedure is simple: Go to the ICME 11 website ( icme11.org) and select the Plenary Session 2 Survey link from the menu items on the right-hand side of the web page.
WE NEED RESPONSES FROM ALL COUNTRIES, ALL SCHOOL TYPES AND ALL LEVELS OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM INCLUDING TEACHERS, POLICY MAKERS AND CURRICULUM DEVELOPERS. It is important that mathematics teachers around the world make their views known and contribute to shaping the direction of mathematics education research internationally. If you are in a position to forward this invitation to your local mathematics teachers' association for wider distribution, please do so.
